  • Alam Flex was founded on 21st December 1950. Cesare Parigi and other partners opened the first headquarters at 3 Via Pecchio, a small, dark basement with six workers.
  • The company manufactured plastic tubes for gas cookers and hobs. The company moved to 38, Via Padova in Milan. The minority shareholders were dismissed and Cesare Parigi remained at the helm of the small firm which was contacted by Candy in Monza interested in the inlet hoses for washing machines.
  • April 1956, the company took part in the Milan Trade Fair for the first time, hosted on another stand. Mr. Giuseppe Parigi, Cesare Parigi’s father, joined the team. The company changed its name to ‘G.Parigi&figlio’ (“G. Parigi and Son”). The development and first major sales to washing machine manufacturers led the company to increase its staff, which numbered thirty employees by the end of the year.
  • The company decided to look for a new premises outside Milan, at 23 Via Guerrazzi, Monza partly in order to add braiding to its manufacturing cycle; thus far the process had been carried out by external suppliers. Parigi entered the market of plumbing and sanitary ware wholesalers, with initially tentative sales, thanks to the first agents in Lombardy, Puglia and Veneto.
  • At the end of the sixties the management decided to move to a new premises in Monza which was opened on November 1st,1968. The company took part in the first Mostra Convegno trade fair in Milan, which took place annually and started its first exports through the Swiss company Hans Denzler, our first foreign client and still today one of our main clients and partners.
  • The offices also expanded in this period, with new staff joining both the administration and sales departments. Parigi attended more trade fairs and increased exports in the early Seventies, although these remained limited to the European market. The Italian wholesale market began growing in importance and the company decided to set up partnerships with major agencies, gradually covering the entire Italian territory. The company’s steady growth led it to purchase the first high-speed braiding machines from Italy, Germany and the US.
  • 1975: Parigi patented Parinox®, the first flexible rubber hose with stainless steel braiding suitable for connecting to the water supply and for all types of taps: it will give the company a big success and will make the company very popular in Europe and all over the world. At the end of the seventies the company began approaching marketing and communication. It chose the Publitrust Agency in Monza, which today continues to take care of the company’s strategies and integrated communication. Parigi decides to exhibit at the first biennial fair ISH in Frankfurt. Since then the company hasn’t missed a single one, alternating with the Milan exhibition. Exports began to Scandinavian countries, and long term business partnerships were established with distributors in the area who are still very fond of Parigi. Cesare Parigi’s family took ownership of 100% of the company’s shares. The company became a “Società per Azioni” (joint stock company), under the name Parigi SpA.
  • The company introduces its first semi-automatic production lines, and begins designing the first automatic machine. It was to be installed in 1981 and used for manufacturing Parinox®. Beginning of the partnership with F.lli Molinari of Soncino, who were outsourcers for twenty years and later became partners, for further developments.
  • For the first time, Parinox® flexible hoses were used by tap manufacturers making mixer taps. Parigi started exporting to Germany too, which even today is still the number one export market for the Parigi Group. We began implementing an IT system for the company, with the System/34 by IBM. The company’s workforce grew in size, across all sectors, with new office workers and manual workers, some of whom are still on the payroll. Gold Medal for Industrial Merit. On 13th June 1989 Cesare Parigi received this prestigious award from Confindustria, handed to him by Renato Ruggiero, Minister of the Foreign Trade and by Walter Fontana, the Chairman of Confindustria Monza.
  • As information technology continued to evolve with the use of more and more sophisticated systems, the company began using plotters and AutoCAD stations. Imma Crippa took over administrative responsibilities (and continued until 1998) while Celeste Maserati was appointed head of Italian Sales. The management team of those years was completed by Sergio Visconti, today responsible for Research & Development, Giuseppe Parigi, Cesare’s nephew, responsible for quality (a position he left in 1998) and by Fabio Riboldi for Foreign Sales. In 1992 Laura Parigi joined the company full time having completed her university degree. Gianluca Bramati also joined the firm, and is now responsible for the development of manufacturing techniques.
  • From 1995 the Parigi Group was certified under the ISO 9000 standard, bearing witness to its efficient corporate system, which works constantly to offer good quality, reliable products. During these years the company designed and commissioned automatic machines for designing and assembling flexible hoses. For the first time, Parigi began exporting outside Europe: it acquired new clients in Chile, Japan, New Zealand, the US, Australia, Israel, Hong Kong and Canada. And above all, it set up solid, long-lasting business and personal relationships which continue today. The staff of management, office workers and manual workers grew even bigger. The company acquired staff: Adriano Scaglioni in Finance and Administration (who left in 2010) and Riccardo Nebuloni, who continues to support the management in the Quality area.
  • The year 2000 marked the celebration of fifty years of ideas and fifty years of business. Fifty years, celebrated on the waves. Five days and five nights, one for each decade of the company’s existence. A Mediterranean cruise full of vitality, smiles and of course water. July 2001 Parigi won the Anima award for exports. In the same year the competition from the Far East, which had been strong for some years by then, came knocking with the first Parinox® counterfeits. Keeping pace with the times, the company got closer to its customers by finding new ways of improving its service: www.parigispa.com, just one click will connect you with Parigi, ready to serve you.
  • Increasing pressure from international competition and changes to European standards meant it was time for a major turning point: Parigi reacted with innovation, quality and efficiency, introducing new products and a new communication strategy. The manufacturing site at Soncino was expanded and the whole braiding section was transferred there. Termopar® was invented, the first ecological flexible hose with polyurethane, marketed first to Italian wholesalers and later to foreign customers too. Another success. 2005 the first advertising campaign came out which separated the flexible hose from its usual sphere of reference and put it into a different world. Parigi was awarded at the Grand Prix of Advertising, in the Business to Business category for best brand strategies.
  • September 2006: a manufacturing licence agreement marked the beginning of the partnership between Parigi and the Neoperl group, for manufacturing and selling Parinox®spx in Italy. Another innovative, multi-certified product thus joined the Parigi range. Our managerial staff was completed with the arrival of Alessandro Carletti and Paolo Bertin. June 2009 Laura Parigi was awarded the Piazza Mercanti Award in the Women Entrepreneurs Category.
  • March 2010, in the high tech setting of Tortona 35, Milan we celebrated our 60th anniversary with our customers, partners, agents, suppliers and employees, in an evening of fun and friendship. In the same month Celeste Maserati left the company and the Sales Service, coordinated by Fabio Riboldi. Mr. Stefano Martina joined the sales staff as company contact for all the Italian tap industries, while Claudio Mazzoleni, coordinator for the agents in Italy is the contact for the wholesalers and retailers market. Also Danila Di Noi joined the company to manage the Administrative &Financial Service as well as the Human Resources.
  • In June 2010 the Press Campaign: “We grow an Italian product" designed by Publitrust won the silver medal at XXIII edition of the Agorà Award for the best integrated communication. In July, Leo Zanotti, historical agent in Lombardy (over 30 years of militancy) and Claudio Mazzoleni, started up the initiative called "Days at the Counter”.
  • During the visits of installers and plumbers to some selected retailers in Lombardy the countless innovative products were proposed and described; Parigi hoses were offered as gifts to enable the installers to test the Parigi’s quality. More than forty days organized for a total of approx. 1200visitors, many appreciations from customers who recognized the company leadership in the field. The initiative will continue in autumn and in the next years it may also be extended to other Italian regions.
